Caila joined the Tactive Art Team as part of our aquisition of Progressive Design Apparel in January 2022. From setting up artwork for screenprinting to beautiful art pieces, Caila is a go-to for all things graphic design. Let’s get to know Caila!

1. What are three words that best describe you?

Passionate, Self-Aware, Curious

2. What does a typical day at Tactive look like for you?

Most of my time is spent behind a computer working in Adobe Creative Suite programs. I take creative ideas and turn them into visual communications that can then be applied in different ways — i.e. screenprinting, embroidery, printed work, digital work, etc.

3. Before working at Tactive, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I worked as a Security Guard for the Seattle Art Museum. I had the opportunity to meet several artists, view art installations before the public, and learn a ton about art, culture, and history.

4. If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be?

Tyler Joseph from the band Twenty One Pilots.

5. What is your favorite thing to do in Indy?

Attending local venues for live music.

Bonus Question: Share something interesting about you!

I have been skateboarding since I was 8 years old. When I was younger, I wanted to open a skate shop and sell longboards that I had handmade. I currently own 7 longboards and love to find a smooth hill to carve.
