5 Questions with… Jonathan Rikkers
November 01, 2021

Since the very beginning, Tactive has believed that our quality, can-do attitude, and above & beyond service is the reason our clients choose us over our competitors. And our employees are the best at making sure our clients’ print & promo projects are top-notch. In this employee spotlight series, we take some time to get to know them a little better.

Say “Hi” to Jonathan Rikkers!

Jonathan joined our assembly team in 2020 and now works as our E-Commerce Developer. He’s responsible for helping keep our clients’ web stores stocked and running smoothly.

1. What are three words that best describe you?

Local survey says: sincere, handsome, and intellectual.

2. What does a typical day at Tactive look like for you?

I’ve been here since January and I still don’t think there’s such thing as a “typical day”. I ride my bike in to work, get set up at my desk, and then go where the wind takes me. I may spend one afternoon building web stores or sourcing product, then the next morning going to a location to build or take down signage. My focus is primarily helping clients build out storefronts or websites, but I find myself helping in a lot of different areas and I love it.

3. Before working at Tactive, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I was a sterile instrument technician at a hospital before coming here. We took all the icky surgical instruments from the operating room and did everything necessary to sterilize them for reuse. Not a job for the squeamish, that’s for sure!

4. If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be?

J.R.R. Tolkien. So many untold stories I would love to hear.

5. What is your favorite thing to do in Indy?

Bike! You can get basically anywhere in this city on two wheels. My favorite route is from downtown Indianapolis all the way up to Castleton.

Bonus Question: Share something interesting about you

I love car culture. I’m only moderately mechanically inclined, but in my spare time I’m planning to create a space where car enthusiasts of all walks of life can meet, work on their projects, and fellowship over their shared passion.

Thanks, Jonathan! Do you need help with your next print and promo piece? Say “Hi!” We’re ready to make your next project your best yet.
