Since the very beginning, Tactive has believed that quality, can-do, above & beyond service is the reason our clients choose us over our competitors. And our employees are the best at making sure our clients print & promo projects are top notch. In this employee spotlight, we take some time to get to know Katlyn Mack a little better.
Say, “Hi”, to Katlyn!

Katlyn Mack
Project Manager
As a project manager for one of Tactive’s largest clients, Katlyn has a hand in a lot of the cool projects Tactive produces for Salesforce. She’s been a bright, creative spot on our Client Success team since 2021. Let’s get to know Katlyn!
1. What are three words that best describe you?
Well if you asked the person that knows me best in this world — my mom, she would tell you that i’m tender hearted, intentional and fiercely loyal. And you know what they say, Mother knows best 🙂
2. What does a typical day at Tactive look like for you?
Everyday at Tactive is different, which is one of my most favorite things about it. We move together as one, as team, wherever we may be needed. As a Project Manager on the Tactive Salesforce Team, you never know where the day will take you! Typically you will find me in my happy corner (cubicle) with all things fun, fidgets and color, catching up on emails with our customers and friends. I’ll create a few decks with the latest and greatest print and promotional products to share with clients for upcoming projects. Next we kit. I’ll gather the goods from the warehouse and sample kits will start to be made, where I’ll get to see our customer’s projects actually come to real life. I put on my photographer hat and snap a few photos to send off for client approval. Then it’s time for lunch, and the best days are when a group of us get together and walk to The Amp down the street. We share a meal while we share about our day. Like I said, we move as one. To finish up the afternoon I’m back on the email, submitting more job tickets and then finding out where I may be needed and who may need help to finish the day.
3. Before working at Tactive, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I wish I had a cool story to share, but I think what I take away from experiences at past workplaces is not necessarily what my role was there or what exciting things may have happened, but how I was able to add to those spaces while I was there. Unfortunately not every company is as wonderful as Tactive, and there are places that desperately need to be filled with light. That’s what I told myself my job was. I was there to shine light in those dark places. Confident that I could do the work that was required of the position but more importantly how I could make those places just a little bit better for everyone while I was there. I wholeheartedly believe it made a difference and through it all it taught me profound lessons for life. There is always light in the darkness, remember that. And remember that YOU can be your own light.
4. If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be?
I’d love to be in a room with my ancestors. Where did we come from? What was life like for you every day? What did you wear? If you could have imagined the future, what do you think it would have looked like? I would want to know them and walk in their shoes for a day. As my mother says, inquiring minds want to know! 🙂
5. What is your favorite thing to do in Indy?
I like turtles! 🙂 They are old and wise, calm and peaceful. Floating about through the ocean riding the waves of life. Sometimes they go into their shell when they’re feeling overwhelmed, but their shell is strong and able to ride out any storm. My favorite thing in Indy to do is spending time at the Indianapolis Zoo Aquarium with those turtles. It’s like entering into another beautiful and captivating world, connecting with animals who actually have a lot more in common with us than we think. It’s a magical place. 10 out of 10 for me!
Bonus Question: Share something interesting about you!
Something people may not know about me is that I play the cello and have now for the past 21 years, ever since the 6th grade. I like to pick up instruments and try and learn how to play them. It’s like a puzzle and boy do I love puzzles!
When I’m not at Tactive I am usually at home with my husband or spending time with our family. Don’t let that fool you though, I’m into everything. The question is more like what hobbies DON’T I have? I like to learn and try new things that bring me joy. When you find joy everywhere you tend to pick up a lot of hobbies. 🙂 The next hobby that I’m interested in pursuing is one with my mother-in-law, we’re going geode hunting! Apparently, she knows the secret spots to go hunting in streams for beautiful old geodes. That sounds like a blast to me!
