Since the very beginning, Tactive has believed that quality, can-do, above & beyond service is the reason our clients choose us over our competitors. And our employees are the best at making sure our clients print & promo projects are top notch. In this employee spotlight series, we take some time to get to know Monica a little better.

Say, “Hi”, to Monica Herring!

Monica Herring

Client Success Manager

Monica joined Tactive as part of our acquisition of Progressive Design Apparel in January 2022. Monica is one of the first people to greet you when you walk in the door. She has a knack for making everyone around her smile and her enthusiasm is reflected in the projects she does for her clients. Let’s get to know more about Monica!

1. What are three words that best describe you?

Direct, Compassionate, Giving

2. What does a typical day at Tactive look like for you?

Well in this industry, no two days are the same, which makes it exciting. I do the same job, but don’t necessarily deal with the same customers from day to day. So, the events/projects I’m assisting with requires different “thinking caps”. I check emails, get with customers to see what their needs are, provide ideas and quotes specific to those needs, write up orders, do art proofs and check deadlines….

3. Before working at Tactive, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I’m a bartender, which is quite interesting. You meet so many different people with a wide range of personalities. I never know what I’ll be doing from one moment to the next. I’m serving drinks, then I’m a therapist or giving relationship advice (they listen because I’ve been with my husband since I was 15!), to letting someone cry on my shoulder! LOL!

4. If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be?

My father. He passed when I was only 2 years old so everything I know about him is second-hand. I’d love to talk with him and hear it straight from his mouth! 😊

5. What is your favorite thing to do in Indy?

Mostly all my family is here. I am extremely family-oriented, so my favorite thing is getting in family time whenever I can. To be honest, I love to catch a plane from Indy to see the world. But I love calling Indy home and coming back.

Bonus Question: Share something interesting about you!

In 2006 I was a contestant on “Let’s Make a Deal” when it was still taped in Las Vegas at the Tropicana Hotel. I was the first contestant called down and I got to play for a new car. I zonked out, but still walked away with $100.00

Thanks, Monica! Do you need help with your next print and promo piece? Say, “Hi!” We’re ready to make your next project your best yet.
