Since the very beginning, Tactive has believed that quality, can-do, above & beyond service is the reason our clients choose us over our competitors. And our employees are the best at making sure our clients print & promo projects are top-notch. In this employee spotlight, we take some time to get to know Rebecca Knotts a little better.

Say, “Hi”, to Rebecca!

Rebecca Knotts

Marketing Manager

Rebecca joined the marketing team at Tactive in the summer of 2023. As a part of the marketing team, she coordinates and manages our events as well as supporting overall marketing initiatives. Let’s get to know Rebecca!

1. What are three words that best describe you?

Loyal, creative, organized

2. What does a typical day at Tactive look like for you?

I am a proud member of Tactive’s small but mighty marketing team, focusing on our content strategy and creation as well as planning and managing our events. Depending on the day, I might be in the writing zone crafting one of our blogs or project spotlights, ordering corndogs for our next party, updating a budget spreadsheet, or jumping in on internal graphic design work with the rest of the team.

3. Before working at Tactive, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Rebecca VanVliet at Indy 500 festival

When I was in college, I worked for the 500 Festival for a semester as the parade intern, helping to organize and manage the 500 Festival parade (the third largest parade in the country, only smaller than the Thanksgiving Day and Rose Bowl parades!) I also got the opportunity to see lots of the behind-the-scenes work for the rest of the month of May in Indianapolis, too – including a looong day of working the Mini Marathon and even getting a police escort to the track on race day!

4. If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be?

I’d love to meet the original owners of our house which was built in 1916 and learn how life was different over a hundred years ago! I think a lot about how many people have lived their lives in the same physical place I’m living mine now and wonder what we’d think of each other.

5. What is your favorite thing to do in Indy?

I love to spend time in my Irvington neighborhood with my husband Jordan – like pizza at Jockamo’s, cocktails at Strange Bird, or long walks on the Pennsy. And Irvington is the best place in the world around Halloween for the epic Halloween festival!

Bonus Question: Share something interesting about you!

I spent my whole childhood taking dance classes and recently got back into ballet with adult classes at Danceworks Indy. I also like to run (or at least, as much as anyone “likes” running) and have completed 3 half marathons, getting ready for a 4th this May!

Thanks, Rebecca!
