Batch Launch!
Batch, the artisan-sourced promotional products division of Tactive, Inc (Tactive) is excited to announce the formation a Batch, Inc. As a registered B-Corp with the state of Indiana, Batch’s mission is to create a world where artisans and businesses thrive together by connecting creative and corporate communities through handmade, custom-branded goods.
Launched in the fall of 2017, Batch began with a creative vision by Tactive employee Chelsea van der Meer who saw an opportunity to connect the Indianapolis artisan community to Tactive’s corporate clients. Less than 2 years later, Batch is officially forming its own entity in order to serve a broader market of promotional product buyers.
“The excitement around what we are able to provide for socially and economically conscious brands has been overwhelming,” said Founder and Creative Director van der Meer. “Enterprise brands know that the products they invest in are a reflection of who they are as a corporation. I can’t tell you how often I hear ‘we have been searching everywhere for something like this, but couldn’t find it.’ Now they can.”
Van der Meer was recently honored with a spot on the Advertising Specialty Institute’s “2019 Hot List”, an annual pick of the promotional product industry’s up-and-coming stars and creative standouts. Batch’s unique business model is making waves in the promotional product industry by putting hand-crafted goods in the hands of end clients that include popular music groups, household brands, and Fortune 500 companies.
To The Future
As part of the formation of a separate company, Batch, Inc will remain on the front lines of artisan and maker trends by relocating offices to the new Ruckus Makerspace on the near east side of Indianapolis. Joining van der Meer is a business partner and Operations Director Robin Lanning, a veteran of the promotional product industry and experienced entrepreneur.
“I’m looking forward to ‘coming home’ – so to speak – to promotional products,” said Lanning. “As soon as Chelsea told me her idea for Batch I knew it would be an industry disruptor. Chelsea brings a fresh, creative focus to an established market and has a natural ability to spot trends. I’m eager to add my own experience and skills to help Batch grow.”
Batch will be exhibiting at the ASI Show in Chicago, IL, July 10-11 and van der Meer will be a featured speaker at the July 1MC Indianapolis Meetup on July 24.
