Tim Browning Honored with GLGA Ring of Honor Recognition
June 23, 2026

Tactive is proud to share that co-founder Tim Browning was recognized with the Great Lakes Graphics Association (GLGA) Ring of Honor Recognition at GLGA’s Indianapolis Awards Celebration on June 2, 2026.

The Ring of Honor Recognition is a posthumous honor awarded to industry leaders whose contributions left a lasting mark on the printing and graphic communications profession. Tim’s influence can still be seen today through the company he helped build, the people he mentored, and the relationships he cultivated throughout the industry.

After successful leadership roles at other print shops throughout the Midwest, Tim co-founded Print Resources in 2000 alongside business partner Kurt Ellinger. What began as a two-person print brokerage grew into Tactive, a full-service tactile marketing company serving brands across the country.

Throughout his career, Tim consistently pushed the industry forward. He believed printers needed to evolve beyond traditional print. Under his leadership, Tactive embraced new technologies, expanded into digital and large format production, apparel decoration, fulfillment, e-commerce, and other services that helped clients bring their brands to life in new ways. His vision helped position the company for decades of growth while creating opportunities for employees, partners, and customers alike.

Tim’s legacy isn’t just the company he helped build. It’s the people he invested in, the opportunities he created, and the mindset he championed. He believed in finding a way forward, embracing change, and treating others with respect—values that continue to shape Tactive and the industry relationships he spent decades building.

Kurt Ellinger

President, Tactive

Beyond business success, Tim will be remembered for the way he treated people. He built a culture rooted in respect, collaboration, and hard work, and he approached competitors as partners whenever it meant finding the best solution for a client. His belief that there was “plenty of business to go around” helped foster strong relationships throughout the Indianapolis printing community.

Tim taught us far more than the business of print. He taught us to lead with integrity, treat people with respect, and never lose sight of the human side of our work. Those lessons continue to guide so many of us today.

Robin Lanning

VP of Sales and Marketing, Tactive

More than anything, Tim’s impact can be seen in the people he worked alongside every day. He invested deeply in those around him, believed in their potential, and created opportunities for them to grow into leaders themselves.

Though Tim passed away in 2024, his impact continues to be felt every day at Tactive and throughout the industry he helped shape. We are honored to see his contributions recognized through this distinction and grateful for the legacy he leaves behind.

Tim didn’t just build a successful business. He built leaders. He challenged people to grow, gave them the tools to succeed, and believed in them even when they doubted themselves.
